The architectural office Barozzi Veiga was founded in 2004 in Barcelona by the architects Fabrizio Barozzi and Alberto Veiga. Fabrizio Barozzi (1976) is of Italien origin and studied architecture at the Istituto Universitario di Architettura di Venezia. Later he continued his academic studies in Sevilla and Paris. Alberto Veiga (1973) grew up in Santiago de Compostela and studied architecture at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Navarra. Both, Fabrizio Barozzi and Alberto Veiga were active as architecture professors at different universities. The work by Barozzi Veiga received several awards, among them the Mies van der Rohe Award for European Architecture in 2015.
