Ivo Trümpy - Switzerland
The Swiss architect Ivo Trümpy studied at the Scuola Tecnica Superiore in Lugano-Trevano, and is one of the important representatives of the so-called "Ticino School". In the years 1962 to 1970 Ivo Trümpy led a joint architectural practice with Aurelio Galfetti and Flora Ruchat-Roncati in Bedano. He then founded in 1970 together with Aurelio Bianchini an architectural firm in Riva San Vitale. In addition to his work as a practicing architect, Ivo Trümpy also worked in teaching. Its most important building is the swimming pool in Bellinzona, which was created in 1970 in collaboration with Flora Ruchat-Roncati and Aurelio Galfetti. The Bagno Pubblico in Bellinzona is one of the important examples of "territorial architecture".
