On the outskirts of the city of Porto, in an area called Pasteleira, Eduardo Souto de Moura had the opportunity to build the row houses
in the Rua de Alfredo Keil. The long wolume of a strong horizontality is set into the sloping terrain without any terracing,
emphasizing the course of the road. While the drawings show an array of seven units, there were realized only five units.
Each unit consists of a basement with garage and services and two further floors containing the living rooms. The top floor is
occupied by the bedrooms, while the first floor contains the day zones with acces to a balcony towards the road and an
intimate garden with a lawn to the back side.
