Aldo Morbelli (1903 - 1963) was an Italian architect, active from the 1930s to the 1960s. Aldo Morbelli completed the technical school of Alessandria and moved to Turin in 1920. The following year, he enrolled at the Turin Architecture Faculty before continuing his studies of architecture in Rome, graduating in 1926. Back in Turin, he worked for Annibale Rigotti and was an assistant at the Faculty of Architecture. In 1934 he left the studio Rigotti. He founded is own office in 1938, after winning the competition for the reconstruction of the Teatro Regio together with Robaldo Morozzo della Rocca in the previous year. He was involved in a large number of projects, in the city planning as well as in office and residential construction. He was one of the protagonists in the history of the rebuilding of the Teatro Regio in Turin, which was ultimately built according to a design by Carlo Mollino.

Im folgenden Jahr schrieb er sich an der Architekturfakultät von Turin ein, bevor er sein Architekturstudium in Rom fortsetzte und im Jahr 1926 abschluss. Zurück in Turin arbeitete er für Annibale Rigotti und war Assistent an der Fakultät für Architektur. Im Jahr 1934 verlässt er das Studio Rigotti. Nachdem er im Vorjahr zusammen mit Robaldo Morozzo della Rocca den Wettbewerb für den Wiederaufbau des Teatro Regio gewonnen hatte, gründete er 1938 sein eigenes Büro. Er beschäftigte sich mit einer Vielzahl von Projekten, in der Stadtplanung aber auch im Büro- und Wohnungsbau. Er gehörte zu den Protagonisten in der Geschichte um den Wiederaufbau des Teatro Regio in Turin, welches schlussendlich nach einem Entwurf von Carlo Mollino gebaut wurde.
