Angelo Mangiarotti (26.02.1921 - 02.07.2012) graduated from the Milan Politecnico in 1948. He became well known not only as an architect but also as urban planer and designer.
In 1953 he started working as a visiting professor at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. During his time at the IIT he made aquaintance with Frank Lloyd Wright,
Walter Gropius, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and Konrad Wachsmann. All of them had an important influence on his professional career.
On returning to italy in 1955 he founded his own architectural studio together with Bruno Morassutti. This partnership was active for five very productiv years until 1960. During this period
emerged important buildings as the galss church in Baranzate and the residential building in Via Quadronno
