Piero Bottoni - Italy As one of the protagonists of the italian Rationalism, Piero Bottoni (1903 - 1973) was active in the various fields of urbanism, architecture and design. As a delegate he representated Italy at the CIAM Congresses from 1929 to 1949 - in 1933 he belonged to the co-authors of the Charta of Athenes, the manifestation of the rational town planning.
