The Immeuble Mondovi in Marseille is a pleasing design from the early work of the French architect Fernand Pouillon. It is the fifth work that he realized at the age of 26 years. The facade has balanced proportions and a subtle play of recesses and projections. Through various roundings, the horizontal bands are merged with the balconies. The design is similar to the buildings recently built in Aix-en-Provence, the Palais Albert and the Palais Victor Hugo. Noteworthy is the centrally located entrance, which is emphasized by a massive frame. The Immeuble Mondovi contains a total of 18 apartments.
Das Immeuble Mondovi in Marseille ist ein gefälliger Entwurf aus dem Frühwerk des französischen Architekten Fernand Pouillon. Es handelt sich um das fünfte Werk, welches er im Alter von 26 Jahren erbaute. Die Fassade weist ausgewogene Proportionen und ein subtiles Spiel von Vor- und Rücksprüngen auf. Durch verschiedene Abrundungen werden die horizontalen Bänder mit den Balkonen zusammengeführt. Das Gebäude weist Ähnlichkeiten mit den kurz zuvor in Aix-en-Provence realisierten Gebäuden, dem Palais Albert und dem Palais Victor Hugo, auf. Bemerkenswert ist der zentral angeordnete Eingang, welcher durch einen massiven Rahmen betont wird. Das Immeuble Mondovi enthält insgesamt 18 Wohnungen.
