Sofitel Vienna Stephansdom Hotel

This building is the result of an international architecture competition in two stages.
The winning project by Jean Nouvel shows its qualities in urban as well as in typological aspects.
Together with the neighbouring tower building by Hans Hollein, this project forms a gate between the
second district (Taborstrasse) and the inner city of Vienna. The hotel and commercial building with a total height of 75 m,
has a five-storey base and a panorama restaurant on the 18th floor. The building want's to be understood as a
multi-functional city tower, whose differentiated programm creates an added value for its location.
