Peder Vilhelm Jensen-Klint (21.06.1853 – 01.12.930) was a Danish architect, best known for designing Grundtvig's Church in Copenhagen. Peder Vilhelm Jensen Klint graduated from the College of Advanced Technology in 1877 as a building engineer. From May 1878 onwards, Peder Vilhelm Jensen-Klint took classes at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts School of Painting. Althoug he took all the classes he never graduated. He wished to pursue a career as a painter, but in the end he had to give up this intention. Following completion of several houses, Peder Vilhelm Jensen-Klint was admitted to enter the Architects' Association of Denmark in spite of his lack of formal training.The mentioned Grundtvigs's Church is considered to be one of the most important Danish architectural works of the time, having great influence onto the following generations of Danish architects. The Expressionist style of the mentioned building relates to the Scandinavian brick Gothic traditions. After the death of Peder Vilhelm Jensen-Klint in 1930, the Grundtvig's Church was finished by his son Kaare Klint.
