Otto Wagner - Austria
Postal Savings Bank
Georg-Coch-Platz 2 - Vienna
1903

The commission for the Postal Savings Bank in Vienna resulted from a competition,
which Otto Wagner won in 1803. It was built in two stages (1903-1910 and 1910-1912).
It is one of the iconic buildings of the city of vienna and is considered to be
the masterpies by the architect Otto Wagner. The building is a forerunner of the modern era,
especially the counter hall with its glass flooring and the steel/glass roofing had a strong
influence on the architecture of the 20th century.
